Quantum Energy Partners is a private equity and venture capital firm specializing in investments in startups, buyouts, growth capital, and middle market. The firm seeks to invest through common equity, preferred equity, and sub-debt with warrants in a limited partnership or a limited liability company and does not finance projects. It primarily invests in the energy sector including oil and gas upstream and midstream sectors and, on a selective basis, considers opportunities in the oil field services and equipment, coal, power generation and transmission, and renewable and alternative energy sectors.

EQT has entered into a purchase agreement with THQ Appalachia I for its upstream assets and the XcL Midstream gathering & processing position for $5.2 billion. The deal will include $2.6 billion in cash and $2.6 billion in EQT common stock. THQ is backed by commitments from Quantum Energy Partners, and the deal will close in 4Q22.

Sitio Royalties Corp has announced that it completed a recent acquisition of 19,700 net royalty acres (NRA) in the Permian Basin from Foundation Minerals (a subsection of Quantum Energy Partners) for $323 million.

Williams has acquired Haynesville natural gas gathering and processing assets from Trace Midstream for $950 million. Trace is a portfolio company of Quantum Energy Partners. The deal will increase Williams G&P footprint in the region to 1.8 Bcf/d and 4 Bcf/d, respectively. Closing is planned for 2Q22.

On August 25, the newly formed entity closed on the acquisition of a 20% working interest in the Shenandoah development from Beacon Offshore Energy II.

Whitecap Resources has reached a deal to acquire Kicking Horse Oil and Gas from Quantum Energy Partners for $300 million. The deal includes 34.5 million shares of common stock, $56 million in cash and the assumption of $54 million in debt.

Affiliates of Quantum Energy Partners, Post Oak Energy Capital, and Concho Resources entered into a binding agreement to sell substantially all of the assets of Oryx Southern Delaware Holdings to funds managed by Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners for a price of roughly $3.6 billion.

The acreage covers two intervals of the SCOOP with 46,400 net acres in the Woodford and 38,600 net Springer acres in Grady, Stephens and Garvin Counties, Oklahoma.
The assets also hold approximately 1,750 gross drilling locations in the Woodford & Springer intervals.
