Cleco Power LLC - is our electric utility that is regulated by the Louisiana Public Service Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and is the only investor-owned electric utility in the state that serves Louisiana exclusively. It houses the corporation's utility operations and assets, including 11,830 miles of distribution lines, 1,300 miles of transmission lines. Cleco Power ranks among the best in restoring power after a storm and limiting outage numbers. Since 2002, the company has received five national awards for storm response. Edison Electric Institute Emergency Response Awards for restoration after 2002 Hurricane Lili, 2005 hurricanes Katrina and Rita and 2008 hurricanes Gustav and Ike. Edison Electric Institute Emergency Assistance Award for providing restoration assistance after 2003 Hurricane Isabel, 2004 hurricanes Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne, 2011 Hurricane Irene and a late October snowstorm in the Northeast, 2012 Hurricane Sandy and a windstorm in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic, and 2014 EF5 tornados in Oklahoma City and Moore, Okla.Website
